Recently my pastor was harassed for reading the new King James Bible. As we all know the NKJ version is a new, modern translation of Scripture, yet one that would retain the purity and stylistic beauty of the original King James. With unyielding faithfulness to the original Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic texts, the translation applies the most recent research in archaeology, linguistics, and textual studies. The Original KJV was a translation of the Bible for the Church of England. They both say the same thing just in different ways. There should be no argument about what version of the bible pastors use. Churches are designed for one purpose, to proclaim the gospel and bring those living in darkness into Jesus’s light!! Churches need not to argue and just get along. We all share the same goals. Each version of the bible makes sense to different people; I enjoy the New Living Translation, which makes the most sense to me. I could never handle the Thou and Thus mention throughout the King James Version. I encourage everyone to pick up a bible that is right for them That is all I took out of the story my pastor presented.
